Interpretation - Master of Arts in Education

Master of Arts in Education: Interpretation Emphasis
A Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Interpretation requires students to complete 36 credits hours. The core requirements are a combination of 12 credits hours of education courses and 3 credit hours of American Studies. Students are required to produce a viable research paper or project (3-6 credit hours) approved by the Dean of American Studies. Elective courses are selected from a variety of disciplines to support the student’s focus.

EDU 50500 Analysis of Teaching and Learning Behavior
EDU 51000 Conceptualization of Education
EDU 52000 Curriculum Analysis and Design
EDU 57000 Educational Research

Electives (9)
Elective courses are selected in consultation and with approval of the student’s advisor.

Students who have received certification from the National Association for Interpretation (NAI) through previous training may apply for up to 9 transfer credit hours upon completion of a proficiency evaluation and documentation.
