Studio Arts
The study of Art is the study of seeing; how we interpret visual information - Visual Communication.
As the world gets smaller, the visual language predominates and visual communication is ever more critical. The expertise gained through a visual education has increasingly more valuable application in commercial as well as cultural venuew across society: if an activity contains a visual component, it has need for the visually trained.
The Art program at Lindenwood University offers a rich and diverse range of investigations across the disciplines of art making and art history. Integrating the University's extensive liberal arts offerings with a broad studio experience, students are well prepared for graduate school, teaching k-12, or future work in an art-related field. Recent graduates include a museum curator, a commercial potter, a portrait photographer, a web designer, a painter exhibiting in New York City, and a commercial bronze caster.
