Head Coach: Don Loberg
Loberg was named the head coach of Lindenwood University’s softball team in July 2005. He grew up in St. Louis, Mo. He started his college coaching career at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley, three years as the assistant and 1 year as head coach. At Florissant Valley he had four Academic All-Americans. He went to McKendree College for four years as the assistant, gaining valuable knowledge in that time. The coaching staff was voted “Coaching Staff of the Year” in 2000 for the Midwest Region. In the 2004-2005 season, Harris-Stowe State College started a softball program and hired Loberg as their first head coach. The team finished tied for 3rd place in the America Midwest Conference. He also had two Academic All-Americans, AMC All-Conference and All-Region players on that team.

Loberg was the head coach at Incarnate Word Academy in St. Louis, MO for 2 years winning District Championships each year.
Loberg served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. In December 2004 he retired from the United States Department of Agriculture after 30 years of service. He is married to MaryJo and has 3 children. Christina, Mandy and Don (DJ). His daughter Mandy is a graduate of McKendree College and played softball and soccer there. His son is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Rolla. He has one grandson (Hunter) and a granddaughter (softball player) born January 2006.
