Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

All students begin with an introduction to the field through Principles of Psychology, and then continue to build on that foundation by pursuing courses in Abnormal Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics, and two additional courses in each of the following areas:

  • Experimental Psychology such as Behavioral Neuroscience, Psychology of Motivation
  • Clinical Psychology such as Human Sexuality, Psychotherapy,
  • Developmental Psychology such as Child Psychology, Adolescent Psychology
  • Specialty courses such as Positive Psychology, Psychology and Film, and Intimate Relationships

Students’ experiences are then synthesized through Senior Seminar — a course designed to help students integrate and reflect on their learning as psychology majors and prepare to use that learning in future endeavors (i.e., work world, graduate school).
