Rift Fournier, Artist in Residence --- Lindenwood University, Communications School; has been honored with television’s distinguished Peabody Award, 2 Emmys, Cannes Film Festival Gold Medal, Chicago Film Festival award for documentary television, the International Film Festival Gold Medal and the Amanda Award for Television (Norwegian Oscar) as a television writer, producer and director. Fournier was appointed to the university faculty in May 2007.

His award winning work includes TV commercials, children’s television, documentaries, cop dramas from Kojak to NYPD Blue as well as creating and writing dramas for Spanish, French, German and Norwegian television.

Fournier’s creative contributions in television include being part of the original producing team for The Mike Douglas Show, creating and producing the JOE NAMETH SHOW television’s first sports talk show, and pioneering the use of single camera mobile videotape for NBC’s award winning children’s series GO!.
