Mass Communication
The Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication is a focused study of information sharing through mass media. The total number of required courses differs based on the emphasis.

The following courses (36 hours) constitute the core for all the areas of emphases: COM 13000, 15100, 15400, 23300, 24200, 30200, 30700, 32700, 40100 and 46000. Activity/experiential components should be selected from COM 30100, 30101, 30102, 30103, 30104, 30105 and/or 45000. Specialized coursework will determine a major emphasis in Radio/TV (COM 25600, 3010X, 30400, 35200, 36000); Radio (COM 30101, 30400, 35200, 36000); Television (COM 25600, 30102, 30400, 35400, 35700, 36000); Media Management and Sales (COM 30300, 33500, 36000, MRKT 35010); Public Relations (COM 30300, 30500, 32800, 42700, MRKT 35010); or Sports Information (COM 30500, 32800, 33500, SPMGT 27020, 47080).
