Counseling - Portfolio & Praxis Information

All students seeking certification as a school counselor must complete a Missouri Standards for Teacher Education Programs (MoSTEP) Portfolio. The Portfolio is a primary tool used to assess student attainment of Program standards. The primary components of the Portfolio include artifacts and reflections for each of the thirteen MoSTEP Quality Indicators, PRAXIS II results, evaluations, and a resume. The Portfolio is completed electronically using Foliotek, an online portfolio management system. Due to the complexity of the Portfolio, students are encouraged to develop their Portfolio project throughout their program of study.
