Biography

Yvonne Gibbs is an associate professor and lead advisor of the Library Media Specialist program at Lindenwood University, as well as the Department Chair for the Advanced Programs in the School of Education.   She joined the university’s faculty as an adjunct instructor in 2000 teaching in the School of Education undergraduate technology courses as well as courses in the Library Media Specialist Program.  As a K-12 educator, she was involved with numerous committees in her districts and served on multiple elected positions, along with volunteer positions, on the MASL Board of Directors.  The Missouri Association of School Librarians (MASL) is the premier professional organization for library media specialists who work in Missouri schools.  Prior to joining Lindenwood’s full time faculty, she served schools in Missouri and Kentucky as elementary, middle school, and high school librarian, as well as an elementary classroom teacher.
