Graduate Assistant Opportunities

GA - Administrative

Location: Executive Offices

Start Date: August 26, 2013

Purpose of Position: To assist Dr. Ayres and Dr. Weitzel with day-to-day tasks

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Daily Responsibility includes: answering phone calls for Dr. Weitzel and Dr. Ayres; filing all paperwork that has been processed; keeping area clean by dusting, vacuuming, and wiping down windows; and processing adjunct, faculty/staff, travel requests, sports pre-authorizations, and payroll paperwork.

  • Job duties include: inputting credentials of adjunct faculty (800+ adjuncts) into Lindenwood database; receive adjunct payroll pre-authorizations from every department/school and merging onto one spreadsheet for adjuncts to get paid; double checking all adjunct pre-authorization enrollments in order for adjuncts to get paid correctly; process graduate assistant applications and graduate assistant information forms (400+ graduate assistants); inputting credentials of faculty and staff in database; keep updated spreadsheet of all department minutes and store in binders; input travel request information into spreadsheet for faculty and staff that go on school-related trips; keep all files up-to-date; process LCIE program adjunct assessment forms; scan and store president approval forms in binders; and lastly, input student life and sports pre-authorization forms in spreadsheet and send to appropriate individuals.

Position Requirements: Must be knowledgeable with excel and word, excellent written skills, able to write and edit, proficiently, strong verbal communications skills, and able to multi-task. maintain confidentiality

Education Requirements: Must be enrolled in a graduate program

Experience Requirements: Office related experience is highly recommended
