Compliance Graduate (GA)


Type of Position: Graduate Assistant

Location: St. Charles

Open Until Filled

Purpose of Position: The Athletics Department at Lindenwood University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Compliance Graduate Assistant position. Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance & Academic Support, the Compliance Graduate Assistant will assist in all phases of Lindenwood’s compliance program.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: monitoring complimentary admissions; assisting with the National Letter of Intent program; creating monthly compliance newsletters; administering senior exit surveys; reviewing CARA logs and recruiting paperwork, and other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Academic Support and Director of Compliance.

Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline; currently enrolled in or accepted to a Lindenwood graduate program; strong interest in pursuing a career in intercollegiate athletics; excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail; willingness to work evenings and weekends, willingness to take initiative.

Duties & Responsibilities: The position will help with the daily operations of the Compliance Department. Some weekend work and evening work will be required.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Create monthly newsletters for staff and student athletes
  • Assisting with student]athlete exit surveys
  • Monitor complimentary admissions for Lindenwood recruits and student athletes
  • Other duties as assigned


Education Requirements: Must be a Lindenwood University graduate student. Student must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Experience Requirements: Former student athlete. Experience working with student athletes.

Hours/Days: 20 hours/week as schedule for the Executive Director and Faculty Advisor. Some evening and weekend hours are required.

Additional Notes: Submit resume and 3 recent letters of recommendation.

Benefits:
  • Tuition waiver for up to 9 credits a semester for 20 hour position
  • Tuition waiver for up to 9 credits a semester and $600 monthly stipend for 40 hour position
