Nonprofit Administration

The Nonprofit Administration Program (NPA) can lead to a meaningful career of helping others by leading and serving others, and Lindenwood NPA students now have the option of participating in a 5-year BA/MA degree program.

Students are educated to be nonprofit leaders and managers through service learning---learning by doing. Students are actively involved in nonprofit agencies and community service, gaining understanding of the nonprofit world through a hands-on approach.

Spend time doing, observing, and understanding: Students are required to work with actual community nonprofits during class projects and assignments.

Blood drives for the American Red Cross: Students may join The American Humanics Student Association, a student group linked with the NPA program that annually sponsors drives.

Awarded nonprofit agencies $100,000 through actual student grants: Grantwriting classes provide necessary skills to write successful grants.

Internships: Students can become actively involved in a variety of nonprofit organizations providing services to their community.

"How wonderful it is that nobody needs to wait a single moment before starting to improve the world."

“I have been and continue to be impressed with the overall knowledge that students completing the Lindenwood University Nonprofit Administration Program have upon graduation. The basic knowledge of what I would consider are key to entering the non-profit field seem to be top of mind with all their students. As an 18 year employee in the nonprofit field, I am encouraged that such a quality educational opportunity exists for our future leaders in this critical field.”
