Nonprofit Administration - Undergraduate

Nonprofit Administration Program
The baccalaureate program is intended to serve a broad spectrum of career paths. The core curriculum focuses on nonprofit organizations with selected concentration in many areas of study.

Students seeking to major in Nonprofit Administration will complete:
  • 28 credits in the core curriculum,
  • 12 credits of nonprofit electives
  • 18-21 credits in area of emphasis
To major or minor in Nonprofit Administration, Lindenwood requires completion of these core curriculum classes:
  • NPA 100, 201, 300, 303, 350, 351, 360, 450, 499 major, and SW 100 as required
  • NPA electives 193, 289, 293, 295, 302, 380, 389, 391, 451, and 493
  • Completion of courses in an emphasis area of the student’s choice
American Humanics Certification:
Undergraduates are eligible for certification from American Humanics, Inc., a nationally recognized program affiliated with respected nonprofit organizations such as United Way of America, Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, the Boys and Girls Clubs, Girl Scouts, and the YMCA.

Students can attend the American Humanics Management Institute, annual retreats, and actively participate in the American Humanics Student Association in addition to coursework to achieve this certification.
Early Access to the Nonprofit Administration Graduate Program:
With Human Services Dean’s approval, students may take up to 9 semester hours at the graduate level during their senior year. Hours will count toward the MA Degree in Nonprofit Administration but not toward their undergraduate degree. A student must be enrolled in 12 hours of undergraduate classes each semester to be eligible for this option.
