Creative Writing

A major in Creative Writing requires a minimum of 45 credit hours taken through the English program. These courses consist of writing workshops, literature courses, English language and criticism courses, and a creative thesis course. In addition, majors must complete the general education requirements for the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees required of all undergraduate students at Lindenwood University. As a Creative Writing major, students are required to achieve proficiency in at least one foreign language up to the Intermediate II level.

Follow the links to learn more about the degree requirements for this major. The Course Descriptions link provides a short summary of the currently available courses you may take as part of the degree. The Student Learning Outcomes page lists the program’s goals.
