International Relations

Department of International Relations

The Department of International Relations provides students the opportunity to learn and understand the nature of human interaction in an ever changing global environment. Students in the program will learn international political theory, diplomatic affairs, governance beyond the state, global economic principles, the politics of development, and much more. In addition to the core course coursework, students have the option to take elective tracks in geography, history, international business, political science, and foreign language. This allows program participants the opportunity to augment required coursework with an area specialization that is of particular interest to them.

While not a requirement of the program, international relations students are strongly urged to participate in one of the many study abroad opportunities provided through Lindenwood to increase their “onsite” understanding and appreciation of local communal issues.
