Lindenwood University’s mace is a staff of linden wood, surmounted by a silver cup. The mace originally belonged to President John Roemer, who served Lindenwood from 1914 to 1940. It is used only on occasions when the faculty and president march in formal procession. The mace is carried in the academic procession by the faculty marshal.
