InterLibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan is a service which allows patrons to borrow or acquire materials not held by Butler Library from other libraries. If you are unable to locate the material you need, please contact the library either by phone, e-mail, in person, or by filling out one of the forms given below.
Book Request Form
Article Request Form
If you need a copy of an article, most lending libraries will provide the first 20 photocopied pages free of charge. Some handling charges for loans and photocopying may be assessed by the lending library. Please do not submit more than ten requests per week. Please allow 1 to 3 weeks for materials to arrive.
If material is needed immediately and you wish not to wait for Interlibrary Loan to obtain your article, there is another option. Ingenta is a website which contains access to over 28,000 publications with over 6,000 of those available in full-text online. However, Ingenta offers articles for a fee. This is not a free service through the university. This is a fee based service where you can pay for the articles you wish to view. Articles are available for delivery online, by fax, and ariel.
