Ribbon cut on new Wentzville location
October 20, 2000
Nearly 100 friends and community leaders attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, October 19 of Lindenwood University's new Wentzville site at 1102 East Pitman.
After a near $1 million renovation, the historic Southern Air Restaurant, a landmark in Wentzville, now features 11 classrooms and will ultimately provide complete admissions, registration and book purchasing services.
A community open house is schedule for 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, October 28.
The facility will be used for Lindenwood's teacher education program, other traditional programs and the Lindenwood adult accelerated program, which is geared toward working adults seeking a graduate or an undergraduate degree.
The site complements existing satellite locations in O'Fallon, Westport, South County and Washington, MO.
Classes are forming now for the winter quarter, which runs from Jan. 3 through late March. For more information about the facility, call 636-949-4933.
