Homecoming promises to be best ever!

Lindenwood University's Homecoming this weekend promises to be the biggest and best ever, according to Alumni Director Laura Kilcullin.

Festivities open Friday with tours and an alumni Insider Update at the Performance Arena, followed by class meetings. Women's volleyball hosts a tournament Friday, and alumns can watch all the action in the VIP Room during a reception hosted by the St. Charles Alumni Club.

Friday evening, men's soccer hosts Baker University at 7 p.m. For those interested in the arts, stop by Jelkyl Theatre at Roemer Hall and take in "Ten Little Indians."

There will be an alumni association social hour at 8:30 a.m. in the VIP Room, followed by an alumni meeing and an LU update by President Dennis Spellmann.

You can visit your old residence hall during "Dorm Tours" from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

And you can attend a luncheon highlighting honored classes and the education division at 11 a.m. Education majors can stay and hear more about the thriving teacher education program at 12:30, along with remarks by Professor Emilie Johnson about Lindenwood's values-centered education curriculum.

The Alumni Museum is open from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. and visitors can also take a trolley ride tour of St. Charles at 1 p.m. Hop aboard the trolley and hear the Main Street tales of a costumed guide at 1 p.m. at the Performance Arena. Fee is $2.

Lindenwood plays host to Avila College in football at 1 p.m., or you can take a tour of the Historic Daniel Boone Home.

There is a special wine and cheese tasting event from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Lindenwood club. Fee is $15.
