November 21, 2003

The Lindenwood University Theatre program will hold its annual production of A Christmas Carol, Dec. 4-7, in Jelkyl Theatre.

Performances start at 7:30 pm, Dec. 4-6, with a Sunday matinee at 4 pm. Ticket prices are $10 for general admission, $8 for seniors and $6 for students, ages five-18. Lindenwood students get in free with their student ID.

The cast for this year's production features Jonathan Elkins, Matt Klinger, Tonya Darabcsek, John Gaunt, Lucas Shanahan, Blake Edler, Jacqi Edler, Trey Rhodes, Jeremy Warren, Julia Welsh, Megan Rose Wieder, Alexandra Gheorghinca, Rachel Diebal, Jay Simpson, Brendan Allred, Kimberly Mason, Morgan Leigh, Eeyan Richardson, Michael Perkins, Mackenzie Smithey, Brad Lewandowski, Joseph Murphy, Michael Dowdy, Heidi Eckl, Ashley Cooper, Michelle Sauer and Laura Sexauer.

The production is stage managed by Anthony Wininger, and the assistant is Li-Hui Liu. Guest artist Milt Zoth is the executive director, and the student director is Dustin S. Massie. Paul Lee is the sound designer, Donnell Walsh is the set designer, Stephanie Robinson is the lighting designer and Angela Jean Hetz is in charge of costume design. "The ideas played out in A Christmas Carol are as timely today as they were when Charles Dickens first penned this tale," Ted Gregory, Director of Theatre, said. "If you call someone a Scrooge they, more than likely, will instantly comprehend your meaning. Audiences are still delighted by the trials and tribulations of Ebenezer Scrooge and this stage version will undoubtedly stir up the holiday spirit," he said.

Jelkyl Theatre is located in Roemer Hall on the main campus at 209 S. Kingshighway, St. Charles, MO. For reservations contact the Box Office at (636) 949-4878.
