This entertaining story of redemption continues to enchant audiences with its simple message of selfless giving, set amid the sociological atmosphere of mid-19th century London. Ebenezer Scrooge learns to embrace the “true Christmas spirit” and that mankind must help one another as he survives a series of revelations by the ghosts of past, present and future.

“The ideas played out in ‘A Christmas Carol’ are as timely today as they were when Charles Dickens first penned this tale,” said Ted Gregory, director of the Lindenwood Theatre program. “Audiences are still delighted by the trials and tribulations of Ebenezer Scrooge, and this stage version will undoubtedly stir up the holiday spirit.”

The director of the production is Larry D. Quiggins, a member of the Lindenwood theatre faculty, who will be working from his own stage adaptation of Dickens’ story. The student director is Michael Perkins. The stage manager is Jane Kohnen. The sound, set, and lighting design is by Donnell Walsh. The costume design is by Cynda Galikin. The properties mistress is Jeannette Mattingly.

The cast features Mike Dowdy as Ebenezer Scrooge and also includes Brad Lewandowski, Jamie Fritz, Mike Junkal, Tom Lehmann, Jessie Held, Adam Loyd, Peter Colombatto, Betsy Bowman, Wes Rankin, Lindsay Bartlett, Mike Howington, Brian Kappler, Michelle Sauer, Sandra Kliene, Mike Lara, Katie Lindley, Kari Lorenz, Amanda McMichael, Jonathan Turner, Shauna Staryak, Sarah Porter, Robert Mitchell, James T. Quiggins, Benjamin Quiggins, Michael Faletti, Aimee Dion, Toni Faletti, Quinton Rogers, Jordan Knobbe, Micaela Mason, Hayley Schaub, Ryan Sebacher, and Courtney Thomason.
