Lindenwood University is launching a new bachelor’s degree program in Christian Ministry Studies. The degree program is offered in Lindenwood’s accelerated format for working adults, in which students can earn up to 36 credit hours in one year, attending just one night per week.
The program is designed for, but not limited to, individuals who work in, or would like to work in, the ministry or any facet of church work.
“This degree program was created for the next generation of pastors, youth ministers, missionaries, nonprofit administrators, worship leaders and recreation leaders—anyone wanting a theological education to serve the church or parachurch organizations,” said Rev. Luke Bobo, director of the program. “The CMS degree is also ideal preparation for students planning to go on to seminary or graduate school.”
The degree is also well suited for students who simply wish to get more theological training and education for personal reasons, and coursework is structured to cater to students of all Christian faith traditions.
“At Lindenwood, we understand that the only thing standing between many adults and the degree they want is that they can’t attend classes during the day,” Bobo said. “In our program, you earn nine credit hours in one quarter while attending one night per week, and the lessons are relevant and current, so you can take what you learn and use it at work the next day.”
Enrollment for Lindenwood’s accelerated program (Lindenwood College for Individualized Education) is going on now. For more information about the Christian Ministry Studies program or Lindenwood’s accelerated program, call 636-949-4933 or visit www.lindenwood.edu.
