Theatre Department to Present Rodgers and Hammerstein Musical Revue

April 21, 2010

The Lindenwood University Theatre Department will present “Some Enchanted Evening,” a revue of production numbers from the musicals of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, and Saturday, May 7 and 8, at Lindenwood’s J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts.

The production will be in the Scheidegger Center’s 1,200-seat Bezemes Family Theater; tickets are available for $10, $12, $15, and $18 and are available at the Scheidegger Center Box Office, 636-949-4433, or online at www.lindenwood.edu/center.

For more than 20 years, Rodgers and Hammerstein created some of America’s most beloved and enduring musicals, including “Oklahoma,” “Carousel,” “South Pacific,” “The King and I,” and “The Sound of Music.” In this production, Lindenwood’s outstanding musical theatre students will bring the songs from these great musicals to life.

“Some Enchanted Evening is just that…an enchanting evening celebrating the beautiful music of Rodgers and Hammerstein performed by Lindenwood students,” said Jan Strzelec, Lindenwood faculty member and director of the production.

The cast consists of Lauren Anselm, Nathaniel Carlson, Peter Colombatto, Whitney Fallon Cornick, Shelby Davis, Kayla Doeren, Carolyn Gertsch, Sean Cameron Gibbs, Amy Grooms, Liam Hoeh, Marlea Jenkins, Wes Jenkins, Megan Lamont, Katie Lynn McGowan, Catherine Neuhart, Devon A.A. Norris, C. Brent Nowack, Bailey Richardson, Mark Saunders, Cara Stern, Bobby Strickland, Mica Tharp, Nick Windsor, and Sara Rae Womack.
