Lindenwood will Benefit from Brock Golf Classic
June 11, 2010
The Lou Brock Golf Classic Sept. 27 at Bogey Hills Country Club will benefit athletic scholarships at Lindenwood University.
Brock, a longtime St. Louis Cardinal outfielder and Hall of Famer, is a St. Charles resident and a friend of Lindenwood. His wife, Jackie, is a member of Lindenwood’s board of directors. Lindenwood University’s baseball/softball complex is named after Brock.
The golf tournament is one of St. Louis’ most exclusive, and many prominent professional athletes past and present are expected to participate. Registration for the tournament already is under way. Please call Sarah Javier at (636) 949-4939 for information on participating in the four-person scramble, or becoming a sponsor.
In conjunction with the golf tournament, Jackie Brock is hosting a Lindenwood Fashion Design show later that afternoon at Bogey Hills Country Club. There will be a showcase of elite fashions for all occasions. Dinner is afterward with the golfers. Call Jane Baum at (636) 949-4427 for tickets to the fashion show.
For all event sponsors, there will be a private celebrity dinner/auction the night before (September 26) at the beautiful J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts on the Lindenwood campus.
