Lindenwood University–Belleville will host eight performances by The Brass Rail Players community theatre group of the comedy thriller “Deathtrap” Nov. 4-7 and Nov. 11-14. Auditions for the show are open to the public and will take place at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 19, and Monday, Sept. 20, in the university’s auditorium.
Roles are available for three women and two men. Adults of all ages are encouraged to audition. Candidates should be prepared to perform a cold reading from the script.
“Deathtrap” is the second show in the Players’ inaugural season lineup, which began in July with the summer musical “The Wedding Singer.” Future offerings include the holiday show “Inspecting Carol” Dec. 2-5 and Dec. 9-1, 2010; the winter musical “Mame” Feb. 17-20 and Feb. 24-27, 2011; and the spring comedy “Over the River and Through the Woods” April 7-10 and April 14-17, 2011.
