For the second consecutive week, a Lindenwood–Belleville basketball player has been honored for her work on the court by the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. This week, Megan Clark of the Lady Lynx was selected as Player of the Week.
Clark completed a tremendous week for LU–Belleville. Her biggest accomplishments came during the team’s 85-44 victory over Harris Stowe State University last Tuesday. During the game, Clark amassed 25 points to go along with eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
Clark, a junior from Memphis, Tenn., transferred from Rend Lake Community College this season and has been a welcome addition to the team in its first season of play.
"Megan consistently impresses me every day at practice and in games," said coach Annie Ewing. "She gives the kind of effort that you want every one of your players to give every day. She is definitely a quiet leader and leads by example – she makes others better by making them work harder.”
Clark’s consistently strong play has been a big factor for the team this season. Ewing sees her presence as a vital piece to the future of the program.
“She is a valuable asset to our team and I look forward to seeing what she can accomplish in her last two seasons,” said Ewing.
