Lindenwood University will host a dance marathon from noon to 12 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 inside the Evans Commons Student Center on the St. Charles campus, 209 South Kingshighway, St. Charles, Mo., 63301. Proceeds from the event will benefit two Children’s Miracle Network of Greater St. Louis organizations at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center.
“We are going to have 12 hours of dancing, games and entertainment as participants try to stay on their feet,” said Kristin Clayton, LU Dance Marathon Committee president. “At the end of the night, we will reveal the total amount of money raised.”
Participants may register as a team or as individuals. Donations are welcome from those who choose not to register.
“This is our first year, so we are focused on getting people to the event to raise funds and to raise awareness about who we are and who we are helping, which are the children and families of these Children’s Miracle Newtwork hospitals,” Clayton said. “We welcome anyone that wants to come by to participate, donate, or volunteer.”
