Lindenwood University has named Elizabeth King director of alumni relations. A two-time aluma of the university, King previously served as an advancement associate at Lindenwood, a position she started in August 2011.
King earned her BA in mass communication in 2000 and her MA in communications in 2001. From 2008 to 2011 she worked as the community events manager at Baue Funeral Homes. She replaces Lauren Clancy, who has moved to the research department of the university’s Institutional Advancement Office.
King serves on the boards for the Nurses & Company Foundation and the Festival of the Little Hills in St. Charles.
“We are thrilled that Elizabeth has accepted this position,” said Susan Mangels, vice president for institutional advancement. “She’s a dedicated alumna herself and a proven relationship-building and event manager.”
King said she is pleased to be a part of an institution with such a rich history and many wonderful alumni.
“I am so honored to be working at Lindenwood,” King said. “I truly believe in this school and its programs and am so proud to be a part of what this school has become. I look forward to connecting to people across the country and around the world who have experienced Lindenwood as well.”
