Proposals Now Being Accepted for Higher Education Conference

Lindenwood University is currently accepting proposals for the 32nd annual Research-to-Practice Conference in Adult and Higher Education that will take place Sept. 20-21, 2013, on the school's main campus in St. Charles, Mo. The event provides a forum for practitioners and researchers to discuss practices, concepts, evaluations, and research studies aimed at improving adult education practices.

The conference (known formerly as the Midwest Research-to-Practice Conference) will serve as a showcase for papers, roundtables, and posters from individuals ranging from well-established researchers to graduate students. Proposals will be accepted until Friday, March 1, in the following categories: practitioner concerns, reports on research, evaluation studies, methods and issues in research, best practices, and trends and issues in higher education.

"This year, the conference has been revitalized with a new name, an additional strand of trends and issues in higher education, and a modified schedule," said Beth Kania-Gosche, PhD, Supervisor of Graduate Research at Lindenwood University. "We welcome new presenters who have not experienced the conference in the past, as well as long-time contributors to this unique venue."

A preconference specifically for master's and doctoral students will take place on Friday, Sept. 20. The keynote address will also be delivered on Sept. 20 by Jost Reischmann, Professor of Andragogy at the University of Bamberg in Germany and Vice President of the International Society for Comparative Adult Education.
