Lindenwood University will host Family Day on Saturday, Sept. 28, on its main campus in St. Charles, Mo. The inaugural event will feature more than a dozen events and activities that students and their loved ones can enjoy together.
“Family Day is an exceptional opportunity for parents, siblings, and extended family members to get to know their student’s friends, to interact with University administrators, faculty, and staff, and to familiarize themselves with the campus,” said Shane Williamson, EdD, director of First Year Programs. “It’s all about them experiencing what makes being a Lion so special.”
Participants can attend as many events as they prefer. Scheduled activities include an ice cream social, a parents vs. students kickball game, an improv show, a concert, two sporting events, a bonfire, and more.
Students and their family members will also have the opportunity to connect with area businesses during an exposition inside the Evans Commons. More than 40 organizations representing a wide range of industries will be on-hand to offer information about the goods and services they provide.
“There will be a ton of giveaways, and students will definitely walk away with a lot of knowledge about what is available to them within the community,” said Angela Royal, director of Student Life and Leadership. “They won’t want to miss out!”
