March 25, 2014

Lindenwood University alumnus Greg Amsinger, studio host at the MLB Network, will return to Lindenwood to do a live taping of the LUTV Lion Pride Sports show at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, in the Lindenwood Theater.

The Lindenwood Theater is located in the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts. Admission is free, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Later in the evening, at 7 p.m., Amsinger will be honored as the 2014 Communications Alum of the Year at the 9th Annual Lindy Awards Show in the Lindenwood Theatre.

Amsinger, who graduated from Lindenwood in 2001, joined the talent at MLB Network in 2009, prior to which he worked at CBS sports, where he worked as the primary host for its college sports programs, including Inside College Football and its NCAA basketball coverage. In 2008, Amsinger also hosted CBS' coverage of the Tour de France and the World Series of Video Games. Amsinger joined CSTV in 2003 as its first on-air host and has also maintained an interactive blog on the CSTV/CBS College Sports website.
