02.19.2015University Helping Children of Fallen Veterans
Lindenwood University is now a partner of Gold Star Kids, a foundation based in St. Charles that provides educational funds for children who’ve had a parent die in combat. Gold Star Kids also provides mentors, mental health, and family support.

02.18.2015Ferguson, Mo., and LU Announce Partnership
Lindenwood University of St. Charles, Missouri, announced today a major partnership with the City of Ferguson to assist city officials, residents of Ferguson, and students who attend North St. Louis County schools with an eight-phase initiative that will include scholarships, grants, and entrepreneurial opportunities to Ferguson residents.

02.13.2015Panama Sending Teachers to Study at Lindenwood
Lindenwood University is among a select group of higher education institutions in the United States and United Kingdom to participate in Panamá Bilingüe, a flagship project of recently elected President of the Republic of Panama Juan Carlos Varela and his administration. The legislative initiative will cost nearly $135 million and will send about 500 Panamanian public school teachers to study in the United States over the next five years. The goal of the program is to increase English competency among Panamanian teachers and, therefore, improve English education programs within the county.

Actor Giancarlo Esposito’s Lindenwood University Speaker Series event, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 17. The change is due to a conflict with Esposito’s professional obligations on the original date.

01.28.2015Liberty and Ethics Center Receives Grants for Spring Conference
The Liberty and Ethics Center at Lindenwood University has announced two grant awards to support its spring conference, “Capitalism, Crony Capitalism, and the Common Good.” A $10,000 grant award was received from the Charles Koch Foundation, and a $12,000 grant was received from the Earhart Foundation.

Lindenwood University has named the 34-year-old ACT INC its resident summer repertory company, which simultaneously announced its 2015 season.

Lindenwood University’s School of Business & Entrepreneurship has become a member of the prestigious Association to Advance College Schools of Business (AACSB).

01.20.2015Application Period Open for New JJK Scholarship
Lindenwood University has partnered with the greatest female athlete of the 20th century, Olympian Jackie Joyner-Kersee and the R. Whittington Foundation to offer two full scholarships to students from Missouri and the St. Louis metropolitan area.

After nearly six years of service at Lindenwood University-Belleville, Dr. Jerry Bladdick has announced that he will be stepping down from his position of campus president in December 2015.

The Lindenwood University School of Education has met every Department of Elementary and Secondary Education standard in Missouri’s required Annual Performance Report for Education Preparation Programs, paving the way for continuous state accreditation.
