07.29.2015Four Athletes Achieve Academic All-American Status
Four of Lindenwood University's NCAA student-athletes have been named Capital One Academic All-Americans by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Women's lacrosse player Melissa Menchella was a first-team selection; swimmer Maike Tweesman and women’s ice hockey player Nicole Hensley made the second-team; and men's lacrosse player Jon George made the third-team.

Lindenwood University’s longtime athletics director, John Creer, who guided the school’s move to the NCAA and as a track coach helped earn Lindenwood’s first national championship, Friday announced his decision to retire at year’s end.

07.16.2015Restoration of Alumnae Gate Enters Final Phase
The careful restoration of Lindenwood University’s historic Alumnae Gate is entering its final phase. The gate, which was partially knocked down by a tractor trailer on June 24, is standing and whole once again. The third and final phase consists of restoring intricate details and re-mortaring the gate’s joints.

The Lindenwood University Department of Nonprofit Administration is looking for the toughest professionals to enter the Nonprofit Bootcamp: Is Your Nonprofit F.I.T. (Fundraising/Finance, Information Technology, Training & Development)? at Spellmann Center, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 14.

07.08.2015Students Offered Express Check-in
Lindenwood University is offering students the opportunity to go through the Express Check-in process throughout July. Express Check-in allows students to complete the process of clearing all associated departments prior to arrival on campus so they can go directly to their residences on their scheduled check-in dates. The only exception is incoming freshmen, who still need to report to the Hyland Arena to check in with the First-Year Experience staff located on the ground floor in the Auxiliary Gym.

Lindenwood University’s J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts announces its 2015-2016 professional season lineup, its seventh season since the $32 million performing arts center opened, with a full slate of legendary performers, led by the timeless Tony Bennett.

Lindenwood University has won a Bronze Telly Award for its recent “At the Center is You” TV campaign. The honor was announced as part of the 36th annual Telly Awards.

07.02.2015Restoration of Alumnae Gate is Underway
As promised by a sign at the project site, the historic Alumnae Gate, damaged by a semi-truck in late June, will be fully restored and stronger than ever. Work by Felling Contracting began at the start of July, and owner Dave Felling says he expects it to be completed by August 1.

07.01.2015Barger Named Interim President of Belleville Campus
Dr. Brett Barger was introduced Wednesday as interim president of the Lindenwood University Belleville campus, effective August 1. The appointment was made by Dr. Michael Shonrock, president of the Lindenwood University system.

07.01.2015LCIE Program Renamed School of Accelerated Degree Programs
Effective July 1, 2015, Lindenwood University’s College for Individualized Education (LCIE) will be known as the Lindenwood University School of Accelerated Degree Programs. The name change corresponds with the 40th anniversary of the program’s launch.
