The Fourth Annual Fashion Design Alumni Showcase takes place Friday, Oct. 16 from 4-6 p.m. on the second floor of the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts. The event is free and open to the public.

09.19.2015The Legacy Continues at Homecoming Weekend Oct. 15-18
“Living the Legacy” is the theme for Lindenwood University’s annual Homecoming and Reunion, scheduled to take place Oct. 15-18 on the school’s St. Charles campus. The weekend will offer something for everyone through the many scheduled activities, sporting events, and gatherings.

Deborah Kiel, PhD, RN, Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies at Lindenwood University’s School of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, won the Terry Leet Researcher Award from the Maternal, Child, and Family Health Coalition of Greater St. Louis.

Lindenwood University recently helped facilitate Lemonade Week in the St. Charles and St. Louis areas, an event, running from Sept. 1-7, designed to teach children how to start their own businesses through the real-world experience of running a lemonade stand.

09.10.2015Social Media Campaign Aims to Bring Swift to Grandmother’s Alma Mater
Lindenwood University students have launched a social media campaign to bring international superstar Taylor Swift to campus later this month, when she will be in St. Louis, Mo., for two concert performances Sept. 28 and 29. The campaign, started by the Lindenwood Legacy student newspaper and the online news outlet LindenLink, is quickly gaining steam and has gained local media attention from KTVI Fox 2 News.

09.10.2015Virologist Wolfe to Speak About Pandemic Dangers
Nationally recognized virologist Dr. Nathan Wolfe will speak in Lindenwood Theater at J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts on Sept. 15. Wolfe will present his speech, “Before It Strikes: Viral Forecasting for Pandemic Prevention,” at 7 p.m.

09.04.2015Conservative Columnist Star Parker to Speak
Star Parker, a conservative columnist, author, and political activist, will speak at Lindenwood University’s J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Parker, who is also the president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE), will talk about welfare policy in a speech titled “Politics, Policy, and Racial Polarization: How to Reverse the Trends of the Welfare State.”
