The results from this spring’s statewide assessment exams for Missouri students show Gateway Science Academy, a charter school sponsored by Lindenwood University, being one of the top performers among charter schools in St. Louis.

08.14.2015St. Charles Issues Permit for New Post Office in University Commons
St. Charles Mayor Sally Faith recently announced the city’s Community Development Department has issued a construction permit to SSM Health for the construction of a new U.S. Postal Service Office in the University Commons development across First Capitol Drive from Lindenwood University on 3.83 acres of land donated by the university.

The Lindenwood University-Belleville Psychology Department received a $10,000 grant from the Monticello College Foundation to support research projects for women.

08.06.2015Alumnus Honored as one of Business Journal’s ’30 Under 30’
Lindenwood University alumnus Chris Abbott was recently named one of the St. Louis Business Journal’s “30 Under 30,” an honor recognizing the future leaders of the region and the local business community. Abbott, 29, is a small cap analyst for Argent Capital Management.

08.05.201523rd Annual Lou Brock Golf Classic set for Aug. 31
The 23nd Annual Lou Brock Golf Classic will be held on Monday, Aug. 31, at Whitmoor Country Club, located at 1100 Whitmoor Drive, St. Charles, Mo. 63304. The tournament is one of St. Louis’ most exclusive, with all proceeds benefiting Lindenwood University Athletics and the Lou Brock Scholarship Fund. Registration is currently being accepted.

08.04.2015Lindenwood Rugby Coach Named Assistant for Men’s Junior All-American Team
Lindenwood University men's rugby head coach J.D. Stephenson was named as an assistant for the AIG Men's Junior All-American Team (MJAA) for players under 20 on Monday, Aug. 3. The MJAA camps are scheduled for Aug. 31 – Sept. 1 in Chula Vista, Calif. Actual competition for the Men's Junior All-American squad is set to begin in the spring of 2016.

07.29.2015Four Athletes Achieve Academic All-American Status
Four of Lindenwood University's NCAA student-athletes have been named Capital One Academic All-Americans by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Women's lacrosse player Melissa Menchella was a first-team selection; swimmer Maike Tweesman and women’s ice hockey player Nicole Hensley made the second-team; and men's lacrosse player Jon George made the third-team.

Lindenwood University’s longtime athletics director, John Creer, who guided the school’s move to the NCAA and as a track coach helped earn Lindenwood’s first national championship, Friday announced his decision to retire at year’s end.

07.16.2015Restoration of Alumnae Gate Enters Final Phase
The careful restoration of Lindenwood University’s historic Alumnae Gate is entering its final phase. The gate, which was partially knocked down by a tractor trailer on June 24, is standing and whole once again. The third and final phase consists of restoring intricate details and re-mortaring the gate’s joints.
