Lindenwood University was founded in 1827 and has a reputation as a dynamic four-year liberal arts institution dedicated to excellence in higher education. Lindenwood University is known nationally and internationally for innovation, entrepreneurship, and extraordinary dedication to students. In 2013, the School of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences was established to support community growth and the growing need for healthcare services in the St. Charles County community and beyond. The SONAHS provides access to higher levels of education for nursing and allied health professionals in response to an increasingly complex healthcare system.
The School of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences enrolled the inaugural RN-to-BSN cohort in August 2013. The BSN program has an innovative curriculum designed to prepare graduates for the future of nursing. The program is unique from other RN-to-BSN programs with an emphasis on current professional nursing concepts such as safety, quality, health policy and finance, evidence based practice, and patient centered care. Students have the ability to customize a plan of study that allows for an individualized pace as well as the ability to incorporate unique specialty electives. RN-to-BSN courses are structured in a hybrid delivery platform which blends online learning and classroom experiences in all nursing courses. While in the program, students are supported by dedicated faculty advisors who provide personalized advice and support essential to each student’s success.
The School of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences is located at the new Allied Health Sciences complex in Dardenne Prairie near the intersection of Interstate 64/Highway 40 and Highway K in southern St. Charles County.
We hope you consider our RN-to-BSN program as the next step for your nursing career!
