Psychology Careers

Psychology has a broad range of real world career applications.  Our degree is designed to prepare students for careers in a wide range of fields, or admission to a graduate program in pursue of advanced educational training in counseling, clinical, and experimental psychology.  A recent survey of our alumni indicated that our graduates are successfully employed in a variety of careers areas including:  Gerontology, Professional and School Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Law, Business, Medicine, Nursing, Sociology, Law Enforcement, Teaching, Marketing, Clinical Psychology, and Industrial Organizational Psychology. The diversity of jobs obtained by our graduates appears to reinforce the applicability of our program’s liberal arts foundation combined with the rigor of scientific study required of our majors, to the world of work. For more information about the career prospects in the field after graduation, please visit

The Lindenwood Career Center is a wonderful on-campus resource. They offer guidance with resume writing, career interest testing and host a number of helpful career fairs throughout the year. We recommend that all of our majors visit the career center by their junior year.
