The Lindenwood University Campus YMCA announces the 3rd Annual Spring into Service, a community service day scheduled for April 20, from 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Organizers say this event will be a fantastic way to start the spring, and it’s an opportunity for community service available to students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Participants will join together to complete service projects in the St. Charles community as well as on Lindenwood’s St. Charles campus. The University community will be working with a number of different St. Charles and St. Louis nonprofits: Crisis Nursery, Blackhurst Elementary School, A Room at the Inn, and Community Living.

A variety of projects will be undertaken, such as painting, planting flowers, assembling birthday and hygiene care packages for organizations, and working in a food pantry. The goal is to provide service opportunities to the Lindenwood University family and to make a positive impact in the community that supports and surrounds Lindenwood.

The Campus YMCA, a Lindenwood University student-led organization, will coordinate this event and will provide breakfast and lunch for volunteers.
