Lindenwood University has an affiliate agreement with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). This agreement allows students to enroll in 12-15 credit hours through the recreation administration department at Lindenwood while completing a semester with NOLS. Students are also able to use appropriate financial aid to help pay for the NOLS semester course. Please note that financial aid will only cover a portion of the cost.
Students will be enrolled in the following courses through the Department of Recreation Administration:
If a student enrolls in the NOLS semester that includes the Wilderness First Responder certification, students may enroll in REC 29200 Wilderness First Responder for an additional 3 credits. Credit hours completed through the NOLS semester can be applied to the recreation administration outdoor recreation emphasis, outdoor leadership minor, or electives in general recreation. These credits may also be applied to the remaining 128 hours needed for graduation in any degree program.
