Student Development - Flu Update

Flu Update

Flu season is rapidly approaching. Therefore, you may want to receive a vaccine for the regular seasonal flu as well as H1N1 (swine flu). Both are available at the Lindenwood University Student Health Center. Please note, there is a limited supply of the H1N1 vaccination, so set your appointment with the Health Center as soon as possible (636-949-4804).

In addition, for general health purposes, Lindenwood has placed hand sanitizing dispensers throughout University buildings. Students are encouraged to use them. St. Louis County health officials recommend the following steps to prevent illness:
  • Wash hands often with soap and rinse well
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes
  • If you do get sick, stay home until your fever passes
  • Get vaccines for the seasonal flu and the swine flu (when available)

Lindenwood University Student Health Center

Where: 1st floor of the Spellmann Center
Vaccine: Seasonal Flu shots for $20
Vaccine: H1N1 shots for $5

Students will need to call 949-4804 to make an appointment. If you have questions about either option, please contact Ryan Guffey, Assistant Vice President for Student Development, at rguffey@lindenwood.edu.
