The Lindenwood University Chaplain's Office exists to encourage and support your spiritual growth. We are available to help you connect with campus ministries and local congregations. Chaplain Timothy Butler is also available to meet with you if you need spiritual counsel or other pastoral care.

Prof. Butler is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America. He is available to serve you regardless of your religious affiliation. If you would like to meet with him or would like help becoming involved in a ministry, please contact him at tbutler@lindenwood.edu.

Since 1827, LU has  sought to encourage students' growth in faith as well as scholarship. In 1853, the University’s founders, George and Mary Sibley, deeded Lindenwood to the Presbyterian Church on the condition that LU would always provide opportunities for students to learn the Scriptures. Today, Lindenwood continues that tradition, not only by offering a variety of religious coursework, but also by supporting thriving student campus ministries. These groups provide places to inquire about or expand your faith.
