Student Activities - Annual Activities

Welcome Week: The first week of school is an exciting time for all, including new and returning students, faculty and staff. Welcome Week consists of activities that aim to familiarize new students with Lindenwood's campus and culture and to welcome back our returning students. New student orientation, check-in, the Opening Convocation, Welcome Back Dance, BBQs, and sporting events are only a few of the many events that take place during Welcome Week.

Homecoming and Parent's Day: Homecoming Weekend is filled with exciting events for students including the annual dorm decorating contest, banner contest, Pep Rally, Homecoming football game and half time show, Powder Puff football, BBQs, various sporting events and much more. The annual Homecoming Celebration takes place at the LU Club and includes a DJ and food for all in attendance. This year tickets were only $5. Parent's Day gives parents the opportunity to visit campus, tour their student's dorm, and take part in many of the Homecoming events.

Finals Week: Finals Week is one of the most stressful times for Lindenwood students. We offer opportunities for students to take a break from studying and extend facility hours to accommodate students' busy studying schedules. Finals Breakout and the Midnight Breakfast allow students to get late night snacks on campus during peak studying hours. In addition, the Loft, the Connection, the library and computer lab offer extended operating hours for students studying needs.

Spring Fling Week: Spring Fling Week gives students a chance to unwind before the last stretch of the spring semester. Spring Fling 2008 will include LU Palooza, hosted by Alpha Sigma Phi and Student Activities, as the kick-off concert, followed by a week of events before coming to a close with a Foam Party. Other events throughout the week include: Flour War, LSGA Spring Festival, Movie Night, Game Night, Big Man on Campus, Wiffleball, Sand Volleyball, Battle of the Bulge, Powder Puff Football, etc.
