Out of the Darkness Walk Shines a Light on Mental Health

Lindenwood University partnered with the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention to host the Out of the Darkness Walk, March 2. A part of the Engage in Eight, a student involvement program designed to help students transition to life on campus, the walk serves to bring students together and promote mental health awareness.

Exercise Science Students Present at Annual ACSM Meeting

Undergraduate Exercise Science students Emily Mowbray and Lauren Sanders traveled to Fayetteville, Arkansas to participate in the 2025 American College of Sports Medicine Central States Meeting. Sanders and Mowbray were accompanied by Associate Professor Dr. Kyle Sunderland and Assistant Professor Dr. Harry Cintineo. Each of the four gave individual presentations to the 300 students, faculty, researchers, and professionals in attendance.

Lindenwood Alumnae Speak at Missouri Powerful Learning Conference

Lindenwood Alumnae Dr. Diana Iborg ’98 and Kathy Poole ’09 presented at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Powerful Learning Conference, in February. Iborg and Poole work with the Rockwood School District and are in the third year of their Explore pilot program.

Dr. Renee Porter Selected for ACBSP Board of Commissioners

Professor, Management Dr. Renee Porter has been selected to serve as a commissioner on the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. The ACBSP is the accreditation agency for the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Porter first joined the University full-time in 2007 and worked with the ACBSP to get the college’s accreditation in 2010.

LindenGiving Spreads Love with Cedarhurst Senior Living Community

Science Students Conduct Animal Research at the St. Louis Zoo

Through the fall semester, Associate Professor of Biology Dr. Joshua Neely's Vertebrate Structure class conducted first-hand research, observing animal behavior at the St. Louis Zoo.

The Irish Tenors to Perform at J. Scheidegger Center

J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts welcomes The Irish Tenors just in time for St. Patrick's Day. The Irish Tenors, who have taken the stage at some of the world's most iconic venues, are making their Lindenwood Theater debut. Formed in 1998, the trio of Anthony Kearns, Ronan Tynan, and Declan Kelly have been crowned the Celtic music kings.

Dr. Stephanie Afful Elected President of Society for the Teaching of Psychology

Lindenwood Psychology Professor Dr. Stephanie Afful has been elected 2025 President of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology. A division of the American Psychological Association, the Society for the Teaching of Psychology has over 2,000 members and an additional 2,000 associate members across the country. Afful seeks to bring her near two decades of teaching experience to help better the careers of these members and generations to come.
