Phi Theta Kappa Recognizes Lindenwood Transfer Pathways
Lindenwood University has been named to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society’s Transfer Honor Roll for 2021. PTK recognizes the institutional commitment and resources available at Lindenwood to support transfer students.
Lindenwood University Hosts First Ever Day of Dialogue
On Wednesday March 3, Lindenwood University hosted the first ever Day of Dialogue. Although this event was held virtually this year, it was still a huge success according to Myron Burr, who is one of the co-chairs for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Task Force along with Dr. Amanda Harrod. The discussion of the Task Force circulated around bringing folks into the conversation around equity and inclusion who would not normally participate. With help and trust from those involved, Burr started to plan this monumental day.
Lindenwood Prepares Teachers for Success
As a nation, our supply of qualified teachers is dwindling. The education industry suffers from high attrition rates and low enrollment in teacher preparation programs: teacher education enrollment dropped by 35% between 2009 and 2014, and the number of people studying to become teachers continues to diminish. Now more than ever, it is important to have qualified, passionate professionals entering the field.
Advertising Students Win Silver at American Advertising Awards
On February 25, 2021, two advertising campaigns made by Lindenwood students won silver at the American Advertising Awards, formally known as ADDYS. These awards are offered by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). The AAF has 5,000 college chapters across the country and allows students to compete against professionals in the ADDYS. Just in St. Louis, there were 342 entries for the ADDYS advertising campaign, and Lindenwood students, including Mia Tebbe and Kris McKay, won silver with their campaign.
Cap It! A Podcast Aimed to Support Students on Their Way to an Ed.D. Degree
The journey of Academic Success is a challenging road. Though it may be difficult, it is possible through the support of students and staff alike. Lindenwood University is a school founded on the basis of Real Experience and Real Success. That is why it was no surprise when Dr. Robyn Elder and Dr. Lynda Leavitt developed the Cap It! podcast. The goal of the podcast is to establish communication with doctoral students about updates within Ed.D. program, as well as tips for success with their dissertations.

Outstanding Student Selected as STL Symphony Scholar
Lindenwood student Nadia Maddex was selected as this year's St. Louis Symphony In Unison Scholar. This program is open for undergraduate students who are participating in the arts such as musicians, composers and music educators. Maddex is a vocalist and sings 1st soprano. According to Maddex, this is a great honor and it not only comes with a scholarship. “In that program, I am provided with mentoring from St. Louis Symphony staff, as well as given special performance, conference, workshop and leadership opportunities.”
Lindenwood Displays Excellence through Military Support
Lindenwood University is dedicated to actively supporting ROTC cadets and veterans throughout their college journeys; the school offers important resources like generous scholarships, access to the Student Veteran Organization, and the first-class Veterans’ Affairs Center located in the Library and Academic Resources Center. As a direct result of these support efforts, the university was named a 2021-2022 Military Friendly School.

Transfer Partnership Signed with Mineral Area College
Lindenwood University has signed a new transfer agreement with Mineral Area College (MAC), welcoming students who complete their studies at MAC to matriculate into Lindenwood University for pursuit of their bachelor’s degree.
