Rickey Whittington Receives Honorary Doctoral Degree
Lindenwood University President Dr. John Porter awarded Rickey Whittington with an honorary doctoral degree April 18 at the Lindenwood House. The degree is a symbol of Lindenwood’s gratitude for Whittington’s philanthropic efforts within the community focused on uplifting underserved students and other marginalized members of society.

Entrepreneur Lauer Joins LU’s Plaster College of Business and Entrepreneurship
Dan Lauer is bringing his wealth of knowledge to Lindenwood University. Lauer was named Chief Entrepreneurship Officer of Plaster College of Business and Entrepreneurship and joined the Lindenwood community May 1.

Senior Kayla Meyer joined an elite group. A student teacher at Lindenwood, Meyer received the Richard S. and Nelle Dabney Merit Award for Missouri, which recognizes those working in special education.
Kerksick Presents Case Study with Crossfit Games Champion
The Director of Exercise and Performance Nutrition Laboratory at Lindenwood University, Dr. Chad Kerksick and his research team, participated in a microbiome case study of 28-year-old Australian CrossFit champion Tia-Claire Toomey. And the results were published worldwide at the 2023 IPA World Congress + Probiota event in February in Barcelona, where speakers from academia and regulators were brought together to share their insights and experiences.
Dr. Daniel Kirk Named Dean, College of Education and Human Services
Dr. Daniel Kirk was selected as the University’s next Dean of the College of Education and Human Services, according to a statement from Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Bethany Alden-Rivers. Dr. Kirk will begin his duties July 24.
Atlantic Records Artist Elkins Visits Lindenwood’s KCLC Radio Station
During his visit to campus, Elkins recorded four songs, including “Hands To Myself” with Music Business and Entrepreneurship students in Professor Adam Donohue’s music production practicum.
