Lindenwood University has named Dr. Rooji Sugathan vice president, information management/chief information officer. With an impressive background in data management and analytics specific to higher education, Sugathan will join the Lindenwood community in St. Charles starting January 2, 2025.
“Dr. Sugathan’s extensive experience in data ecosystem management and digital transformation as a strategic senior leader with success in higher education makes him an excellent addition to our team,” President Dr. John Porter said. “His expertise in emerging technologies and cost/benefit analysis will elevate the information technology infrastructure and operations at Lindenwood.”
Sugathan joins Lindenwood with previous experience as Assistant Vice Chancellor-Data Management and Analytics at Washington University in St. Louis and industry leadership with Educause as the chair of the Higher Education Chief Data Officers group.

Sugathan earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Loyola College, University of Madras, India, an MBA from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and a PhD from University of Missouri-St. Louis.
