Lindenwood University is hosting its 10th annual Family Day celebration on Saturday, October 7.

Family Day is an opportunity for families and supporters to visit their students, spend time experiencing life on the Lindenwood campus, and enjoy sporting events, including the Lions’ 1 p.m. football game against Tennessee Tech University at Hunter Stadium.

This year’s event includes a Business and Department Expo from 9-10:30 a.m. at Main Street on the third floor of Spellmann Center and features various campus resources and local businesses in attendance for students, their families, and supporters to visit with and learn from. Additionally, the Lion Pride Tailgate is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and is free for all to attend, play games, mix and mingle with faculty, staff, and other students.

Lindenwood also will present one Family of the Year Award during halftime. The Family of the Year Award is an application-based award where full-time undergraduate and graduate students can nominate their immediate family members. Prizes for Family of the Year include a gift basket containing Lindenwood merchandise and Family Day ticket packages for up to five family members, which include Family Day T-shirts, meal vouchers, ice cream tickets, and football tickets. The deadline for the Family Bundles that guarantee the T-shirt size is Friday, September 22.

Family Day is a time when the Lindenwood community comes together to celebrate families and their students, offering fun for everyone. Lindenwood University faculty and staff look forward to welcoming the supporters and families of current students for this exciting day.
