Lindenwood University has named John Kaufhold vice president of fiscal affairs and chief financial officer. With an impressive background in fiscal management, Kaufhold will join the Lindenwood community in St. Charles starting February 1.
“JK’s extensive background in business operation management as a strategic senior leader with success in higher education makes him an excellent addition to our team,” President Dr. John Porter said. “His expertise in resource planning, process improvement and operational working groups will elevate the fiscal management at Lindenwood.”
Kaufhold joins Lindenwood with previous experience as Senior Director, Business Operations at Yale University and industry leadership with the Barnes Group, Inc. as a strategic business unit controller.

Lindenwood University is positioned to accomplish great things and further the University’s mission as it implements a very dynamic strategic plan,” Kaufhold said. “It is an honor to be given such an important role and I look forward to returning to St. Louis - my original hometown!”
Kaufhold is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MBA from Eastern Michigan University.
