Lindenwood University is abuzz with excitement as it prepares to welcome new students for the Fall 2024 semester. The campus is set to come alive with a series of events designed to help first-year and transfer students transition smoothly into university life.
“This is one of the most exciting times of the year at Lindenwood University. We are thrilled to welcome our new students and their families and supporters to our campus,” President Dr. John R. Porter said. “Our teams have worked diligently throughout the summer to ensure a smooth experience for all. This year’s New Student Orientation programming is intentional and has been planned to promote a successful transition to college life.”
Move-In Days for new students are scheduled for August 20-21. The Residential Life team has been working tirelessly to ensure a seamless move-in process, providing students and their families with the necessary information and support. Volunteers, including current students, faculty, and staff, will be on hand to assist with unloading vehicles and guiding new Lions to their rooms.
Students will begin their journey with check-in at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts, then proceed to their hall to move in their belongings. To ease navigation of campus, the University has developed a campus map specific for move-in. Mobile-friendly, the map also provides point-to-point directions around campus.
Following move-in, the New Student Orientation (NSO) will kick off August 21 and run through August 25. This week-long program is packed with activities aimed at helping new students acclimate to their new environment, make friends, and learn about the resources available at Lindenwood. The program also includes special sessions for international students and transfer students, ensuring that all new members of the Lindenwood community receive the support they need.
As the new academic year approaches, Lindenwood University is ready to help its newest Lions discover their roar and begin their college journey with confidence and enthusiasm.
