Move-in day for returning, first-year, and new students for the 2023-24 academic year is here. While this can be a stressful time for students and supporters, there also are many exciting new features around campus to help make move-in day as smooth as possible.
As the fall semester arrives, students and their supporters can discover what to expect during the move-in experience.
Move-in days for first year and transfer students are scheduled for Tuesday, August 15, and Wednesday, August 16, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Move-in days for returning students are scheduled for Saturday, August 19, and Sunday, August 20, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
“Campus is buzzing as we prepare a vibrant community for you to join,” Interim Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs Ryan McDonnell said. “At Lindenwood University, the students come first, and we cannot wait to welcome you to an environment that values personal growth, intellectual curiosity, diversity, and a commitment to you as a learner.
“As you arrive, our focus is on you and what you need. We will have a number of volunteers ready to serve you and your family and help you make this your new home. Our Residential Life Office will be sending out weekly emails with all the information you need regarding when to move in, what to bring, and some of the exciting new updates you will get to experience this fall.”
Prior to moving in, both first year and returning students must make sure all outstanding bills have been paid, as well as ensure their vehicles are registered with the Department of Public Safety and Security, and complete the immunization requirements. First time domestic and international students, as well as returning students who were not enrolled in the Spring of 2023, must complete the immunization requirement.
Students may visit the Lindenwood Bursar’s Office to receive a checklist of bills that must be paid in advance. For assistance, students can contact Student Financial Services.
Any student who plans to bring a vehicle to campus must complete the registration form on the StarRez portal. After the form is completed, parking permits designated for students living on campus will be distributed to students by their residence coordinator. For students living off campus, parking permits will be mailed to them.
Students also can access their student ID through their smartphone. Student IDs allow access to several buildings, pay for meals, printing privileges, accessing the Fitness and Recreation Center, and check out books at the Library and Academic Resources Center.
Residential Life is available for any questions regarding move in and residential life, and New Student Orientation also is available.
