Lindenwood University students, alumni, and faculty participated in the making of the show, “The One Hour Star Wars Trilogy – A Parody” in July, which was performed at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center in St. Louis.
Associate Professor of Theatre Donna Northcott ’22 produced and directed the show and enjoys working on Shakespeare and pop-culture parodies.
“I've worked with many LU students as actors, designers, and technicians,” Northcott said. “I'm grateful for the talent and dedication they bring to each production.
Emma Miller, who will graduate from Lindenwood in 2026, served as the costume designer. Working on her first production gave Miller a confidence boost, and collaborating with former and current LU students made her feel more comfortable asking questions.
“I learned so much, and I also had no idea I would be making professional connections in a gen-ed class as a freshman,” Miller said.
The production allowed students like Miller to gain real experience in a professional setting, which will pay dividends after she graduates from Lindenwood.
Mack Holtman ’21 played the part of C3PO and enjoyed working with and seeing so many familiar faces, both on and off the stage.
"It was a crazy and wild process, but I was pleasantly surprised with the end result and blown away that we had so many sold out nights,” Holtman said.
Other members of the cast and crew included: LU Social Media Specialist Aj Surrell ’20, Princess Leia; JL Biagi ’21, production stage manager; Jesse Elliot ’22, Boba Fett; Creighton Markovich ’24, Han Solo; Austin Cochran ’23, Luke Skywalker; Nick Lane ’22, Darth Vader; Kalani Cing ’24, Aunt Beru/Stormtrooper; John Rogan ’24, Chewbacca; Jordan Duncan ’23, PIB (person in black); and Ethan Dudenhoeffer’15, set designer.
