Lindenwood University has signed a new transfer agreement with Mineral Area College (MAC), welcoming students who complete their studies at MAC to matriculate into Lindenwood University for pursuit of their bachelor’s degree.
“Lindenwood is proud to provide a pathway for Mineral Area College students to complete their bachelor’s degree,” said Dr. John Porter, president of Lindenwood University. “This agreement identifies a bridge to the future for students and this will enrich both campuses in many ways.”
Joining Porter at the physically distanced, small capacity ceremony was Dr. Joe Gilgour, president of Mineral Area College, who embraced the new partnership and is eager to support students in their path to Lindenwood.
Porter was accompanied by Senior Vice President of Enrollment and Student Engagement, Terry Whittum, and Provost & Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Mark Arant. Representing MAC alongside Gilgour were Dean of Student Services, Julie Sheets, and Provost Roger McMillian.
As part of the agreement, Lindenwood will offer the Meramec Scholarship to students from Mineral Area College, awarding up to $12,000 annually for full-time students who remain in good standing. Qualifying students who enroll directly from MAC within one year of completing their enrollment and associate degree from MAC are eligible.
