Lindenwood’s Executive Cabinet reviewed recommendations from the Pandemic Preparedness Task Force (PPT) and has issued updated guidance for the campus community, effective today, January 28.
The University will begin opening additional in-person events and activities for the campus and community. Event hosts are responsible for enforcing university policies with event attendees. Where appropriate, food and concessions will be allowed at events and attendees should only remove their mask while actively consuming food or drinks. Students requesting to host events should submit their request through InvolveU.
During the week of January 31, faculty will continue teaching classes as scheduled, but have flexibility in deciding whether their office hours and other activities and meetings are conducted in-person or virtually. Starting the week of February 7, faculty will resume in-person office hours, activities, and meetings. Faculty may also continue to use Teams from their office if students request this option.
Supervisors should resume work schedules leveraged in the fall term. Staff should work with their supervisors to discuss and confirm their schedules for the upcoming weeks.
The University will continue contact tracing procedures and maintains a strict mask policy indoors. Additionally, the University continues to maintain active quarantine and isolation protocols for student and employee wellness. Lindenwood asks all students and employees to complete the Initial Assessment Survey as soon as possible, if they are feeling unwell, have potentially been exposed, or have tested positive for COVID-19.
The PPT and Executive Cabinet will continue to review campus policies and operations on a weekly basis. Should circumstances change, additional safety measures may be reinstated or implemented.
