Student Academic and Support Services (SASS) supports the Lindenwood University student community through academic engagement, problem resolution, and provision of resources. We are committed to a student-centered environment reinforcing retention and persistence to graduation by encouraging academic and individual development along with social responsibility.
SASS supports the mission statement of Lindenwood University by
- coordinating and communicating with all Lindenwood University campuses as a student liaison in support of student progression and problem solving;
- using established tools to identify and focus on learning styles, academic goals, and the talents of all students, including those at risk; and,
- treating all Lindenwood University students, faculty, and staff with professional respect in support of diversity, student success, and educational opportunity.
Kurzweil 3000
Lindenwood University is proud to offer Kurzweil 3000 for free to all LU students, faculty, and staff!
Kurzweil 3000 is a software by Kurzweil Education that integrates educational tools and assistive technology to aid users with learning differences to fully engage in what they are learning. In addition, Kurzweil aids with focus and organization while promoting independent learning. Kurzweil 3000 offers a variety of helpful features, such as notetaking, annotating, brainstorming, speech-to-text, a graphic brainstorming tool, and colored highlighters.
To use Kurzweil 3000, simply log in using the Microsoft Single Sign on. You can find detailed instructions in the word document below.

Meet Our Staff
Jeremy Keye
As Director of Student Support Services Jeremy works with faculty and administrators to provide extensive support programs/services, focusing on promoting academic success and engagement for academically at-risk students. Jeremy dedicates himself in motivating and inspiring students to be the best they can be no matter what background they come from. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Lindsey Wilson College, and Masters of Arts degree in Education with an emphasis in Higher Education from Lindenwood University. Prior to joining the Student Academic and Support Services staff, he worked as an Admissions Representative and Diversity Recruiter for St. Louis College of Pharmacy. While at Lindenwood University, Jeremy has served as an adviser for Best Buddies student organization, Sophomore Year Experience Program, and is a member of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Task Force.

Dr. Kevin Manley
Kevin leads Lindenwood’s advising team. In his role, Kevin supports the university’s advisors and provides the training and resources they need to empower Lindenwood students to achieve excellence in education and in life. Since joining the university in 2017, Kevin has been involved with Lindenwood’s Q2 Service Excellence program and supported the university as the inaugural Learning Academy Service Excellence Fellow. Kevin holds two degrees from Truman State University—a BFA in Creative Writing and an MA in English—and he is currently pursuing his EdD in Instructional Leadership at Lindenwood. Prior to joining the advising team, Kevin worked as an Academic Services Representative and an Assistant Registrar at Lindenwood.

Janet Owens
As the Manager of Student Support and Accessibility Program, Janet has the opportunity to work with administrators, faculty, and staff to provide information and assist students with disabilities in creating specific accommodations to assist them in achieving their academic goals. Prior to this role, Janet was the office manager of Student Academic and support services. Janet has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Lindenwood University.

Dr. Christie Rodgers
Dr. Rodgers has over 28 years of professional experience working in higher education. Her experience ranges from teaching, academic support, admissions, alumni and development, academic services, career development, and corporate training. Dr. Rodgers has worked in the community college, proprietary, liberal arts, and corporate environments. All professional roads have brought her back to Lindenwood University where she has returned for the third time and has worked in her current role dedicated to academic support, student engagement, and retention since 2009. Dr. Rodgers was a first-generation student and has a BA in Psychology, MS in Corporate, and Industrial Communications and an EdD in Instructional Leadership.

Elizabeth Walker
Elizabeth comes to the Coordinator position after 6 years of working in Disability Services. She looks forward to learning with and from students as she leads her Academic Commitment to Excellence courses and helps students develop the skills needed to navigate college. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Emporia State University, and has almost completed an M. Ed in Educational Leadership and Policy from University of Missouri–Columbia. She was a first-generation, non-traditional student and has a special interest in supporting those groups. She is looking forward to supporting student success at Lindenwood!
